the summer days grow short
shorter and short
the once fluffy clouds
fall to the ground
creating a white shroud
I saw no ocean waves
or hot summer days
The autumn leaves fell
probably in my sleep
where did my summer go
why didn't autumn stay
where has the time gone
washed away with the tide
only to wash ashore
partial and faded
with age comes more age
as i get older
i learn some
and lose more
